They say angels are everywhere in every form and Turkish Airlines once again proves that it has got the best services for everyone even in case of emergency too.
An unexpected passenger joined Turkish Airlines flight when a woman went into labor and gave birth mid-flight. The situation was totally unexpected and nobody knew her waters would break so soon. Shortly after takeoff from Guinea’s capital, Conakry, crew onboard a Turkish Airlines flight came to the aid of Nafi Diaby, who was 28 weeks pregnant and had begun to have contractions. Her condition was growing worse and there was no way they could do anything to get external help.
The cabin crew finally got to the scene and began doing whatever they could with the help of their medical supplies in the flight. Some passengers on the flight also stepped in to help the safe delivery of the girl at 42,000 feet above the grounds. In a statement, Turkish Airlines said the cabin crew had spotted the pregnant woman in pain and promptly responded to assist her.
The mother and baby, named Kadiju, were taken to hospital when the Boeing 737 landed in the Burkina Faso capital, Ouagadougou, in order to be kept under observation. Both are reported to be tired but in good health. This once again proved that Turkish Airlines is one of the best airlines with all the possible helping techniques and air hostesses at service 24 hours.
The airline shared the happy news on Twitter Friday, showing pictures of the flight attendants posing with the baby wrapped in a grey blanket.
“Welcome on board Princess!” Turkish Airlines captioned a collage of photo on Twitter, including a graphic of a plane acting as a stork to deliver a baby girl. “Applause goes to our cabin crew!”
