One of the most awaited and largest musical festivals in the world is finally here. Annual music event Summer-fest will be held at Milwaukee, Wisconsin from June 28th to July 2nd this year. The highly anticipated music festival draws in a million people on an average every year. This time too, the event is expected to be a smashing hit with supremely popular artists headlining the show. This year will also mark 50 years since the first show was held.
Starting on 28th June and spanning over the next couple of days, the music festival will see performances by renowned artists like Luke Bryan, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Chain-smokers, Paul Simon and Pink. Fans are expected to throng the event in hordes to catch live performances by their favorite artists. Artists like Big Sean, Future, Zac Brown Band and Dierks Bentley are some of the other headliners.

Performances by comedians have been a regular feature at the event since the 1970s. The event itself was first started in 1968 by the then mayor of Milwaukee, Henry W. Maier who was said to be inspired by the very famous Oktoberfest.

There are also pools and rock climbing walls for those looking to have a great time in addition to attending the music shows.
