Come June, prepare yourselves to buy some of the best produce at Waltham Farmer’s Market in Lexington. The venue is Arthur J. Clark Government Building at 119 School Street (Lexington). From June 10 to November 4 you will have the chance every Saturday to lay your hands on some of the best locally grown products. The area is stroller, bicycle and wheelchair accessible, with the Market being held come rain or shine. There is ample of parking space behind the building and off Lexington Street as well as at the Parking Deck at Central Square.
Since its inception in 1991 Waltham Market has remained one of the best places for hard working farmers to sell their produce. More than 30 vendors will be at the Market selling fresh grown organic fruits and vegetables along with a score of other items. You will find every important food item you could possibly want at the Market. These include eggs, herbs, cheese, chicken, beef, pork, smoked fish, fish, honey, maple syrup products, pasta, baked goods, gluten-free items and juices among others. You will also find items like dog treats, soap, handicrafts, jewelry and bags at the Market. You can take your pick from plenty of choice for each item at the Market. Apart from cash, SNAP, debit and credit cards are also accepted at the Market.
Additional services include free music concerts held on certain Market days. Performances are made by artists of various genres such as Pop, R&B, Rock, Jazz and Folk. There is no entry price and the Market is open to all. It has pedestrian access from both sides – Lexington and School Streets. Leashed pets will also be allowed at the Market.
