Bhumi, one of the largest youth volunteer independent NGOs in the country is scheduled to hold its annual multi-city marathon to raise funds for the education of underprivileged children. The run will be held at Cubbon Park in Bengaluru on August 6, 2017 and participants are expected to assemble by 5:30 am. The aim of the 5 km and 10 km marathon is to raise funds for the quality education of underprivileged and orphaned children. The next races are scheduled to be held at Mumbai (Sept 3, 2017), Kolkata (Oct 22, 2017), Delhi (Nov 5, 2017) and Chennai (Jan 7, 2018).
Participants are expected to arrive at the venue, Cubbon Park, by 5:30 am for the run. All necessary facilities will be provided such as timing chips, hydration support and refreshments. While there will be no cash prizes provided, all finishers will be given medals and all participants will be given E-certificates. Race route will be updated prior to the event. You can choose between 5 km and 10 km run as per your convenience. Emergency medical assistance will be provided should there be a need for it. The noble aim of the organization is to raise a minimum of INR 5,00,000 which will help educate at least a thousand underprivileged children. They aim to register at least 1,000 participants for the event.
