Mumbai: Months ago we brought you news about how Kajol refused to comment on a tiff between Karan Johar and her – the epic fight between two Bollywood bigwigs that left the industry virtually split into two. The latest in the story is that there are apparent signs of a thaw on the cold vibes between the two, all thanks to Karan’s twins Roohi and Yash. If we go by the stars’ social media activity, then we can certainly expect some kind of reconciliation between the friends-turned-foes.
On the occasion of Rakshabandhan Karan Johar uploaded an adorable picture of his twins Roohi and Yash. The cute picture was an instant hit and the babies received tons of love from well-wishers galore. From fans to Bollywood stars, pretty much everyone showered love and blessings on the two. They also seemed to have won over their dad’s most recent foe – Kajol. Setting aside differences, she went ahead and ‘liked’ the Instagram picture. Taking note, Karan wasn’t far behind, and he ‘followed’ his former friend. And not long after, Kajol ‘followed’ Karan back. This was enough for well-wishers of the two to cheer them on.
For those uninitiated, Kajol and Karan haven’t been on talking terms since last Diwali when Karan’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil clashed with Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay at the Box Office. Rumors surfaced about Karan paying Kamal Khan a certain amount of money (allegedly INR 25 Crores) to publicly bad-mouth Ajay’s Shivaay. Karan felt hurt and betrayed by Kajol’s apparent support of the accusations. He even wrote about it in his biography which he released early this year. While Ajay and Karan have had plenty to say about the issue, Kajol has always maintained stoic silence and still continues to do so.
If the latest turn of events is anything to go by, then fans can well expect a reconciliation between Kajol and Karan. After ‘liking’ and ‘following’ each other on social media again, pretty soon one of them will leave a cute comment and the other one will reply with a cuter one. And Bollywood will be a happy place again! Well, at least we hope so.
