Europe has been a home for so many mysteries and interesting facts that people tag the word ‘Mystery’ with ‘Europe’ each time a topic comes up. Some of them are eerie and creepy while others are very funny and weird. Stonehedge was built a very long time ago which counts nearly up to 5000 years backwards. It has been a very historic place and also happens to be one of the most mysterious places. Stonehedge was built with some purpose which is unknown till date and has also been rearranged very difficultly and secretly during the times when no one knew about its shifting. But all of this has been done without the world knowing anything about it. The intentions are still hidden and might end up as a mystery.
METALS DURING THE ‘NO METAL’ ERA
Working with metal is something that all have done in the 21st century; yet there have been sightings of metal objects during times when metal wouldn’t have even been attainable. Metallic tubes were found in Cretaceous chalk in France; this chalk was over 64 million years old; humans weren’t even around 64 million years ago.
THE CLAPHAM WOOD MYSTERY
Remember the spooky forest in the movies that you know you shouldn’t go into? This is that forest. Upon entering Clapham, people have reported feeling sick, nauseous, and have an unexplainable feeling as if they are being followed. Scientists have studied the forest and have found traces of what could be a magnetic field; this hardly explains anything though.
THE DEVIL’S FOOTPRINTS
On February 8th, 1855, snow fell on Devon, England. It wasn’t a huge snowstorm, but snow did fall. The next day, tracks were found above the snow; more specially, these tracks looked like hooves (or hoof-like). But there is something eerie about these paths. It is that they went on for miles and miles in straight lines and the snow didn’t even cover them during the winter. It is a fact that there are sights that have been seen like this all around the world but this is considered as an epic to remember. Many claim it is the Devil looking around the world for sinners. Well, all we know is what we see. The rest of the thoughts are just people’s perspectives.
LOCH NESS MONSTER
Loch Ness is the Britain’s largest freshwater body because of this fact, and many people claiming to have seen something big move inside the water, many believe that there is a pre-historic lake monster in Loch Ness. Although there are many fake pictures and sightings, many still believe that the Loch Ness Monster is real.
THE BELMEZ FACES
Belmez happens to be a small village in Spain where a lady named Maria Pereira noticed that the floor of her house formed a shape of a face and it looked like a real one. It looked creepy and so she changed the whole setting and replaced it completely with a new one. But that didn’t help. The new flooring also had the same shape of a face and this time there were many.
JACK THE RIPPER
In the 1800s, there was a famous phenomenon that happened to take place due to a weird man who called himself, ‘Jack the Ripper’. He was famous for killing people ruthlessly and also wrote a letter to the newspaper indicating the number of murders he had committed proudly. Jack the Ripper brutally killed mostly women by cutting their throats. Although there are many suspects of who Jack the Ripper could be, till this day, no one knows who Jack was.
No list of unexplained mysteries could be complete without mentioning Crop Circles. These eerie designs have showed up all over the world, so much so that many don’t believe in them anymore. Many people have admitted to creating Crop Circles, but the early ones still haven’t been explained.
