We all know that it is very necessary to follow a lot of rules and go through a lot of security check-ins at the airports and sometimes we even go crazy with their innumerable number of rules and systematic procedures. But then we have to respect them for our own safety and security. It is always tiring to be there at the airports with all those extra protective rules but then we have to co-operate with them. So whilst all these chaotic processes we have some of the most useful tips to help you feel better and a bit relaxed even when you are undergoing all these stressful tasks. Go on and read along to find out what you can do about being calm and taking it easy in the airports.
- Stay to the left –
If there are multiple TSA check-in lanes, always choose the lane(s) to the left. Research has shown that people naturally head to the right, so the left side lanes will typically be less crowded. This way you will have a little privacy and space for yourself and this will help you in relaxing too. Sink down and rest if you don’t mind doing it at all. If you are uncomfortable doing that in public then sit and try focusing on something that interests you.
- Pack it up –
Before you head to security gather all your loose items (keys, wallet, phone, etc., and whatnot) and throw them in your bag or purse. This way you can zip through the security line with ease without fumbling with everything. This makes the entire process of the checking systems easy and it also helps the passengers standing behind you.
- Take a picture –
Take a photo of your parking spot/location if you have by chance brought a car or any vehicle with you and have parked it here in the parking lots of the airports. This way you can be on the safe side as it can be hard to remember your vehicle and its place after coming back from an exciting vacation or any serious trip.
- First class check-in –
If the economy check-in line is long, try using the first class check-in counter instead. If there is no one else in that line, the counter attendants usually don’t mind. Make sure to ask them nicely so that they don’t hesitate in offering you the best possible services with their best possible smiles.
- Lost and found –
Did you forget to pack any small items such as your cell phone charger? Try going to the lost and found counters and find out more about your lost item. If they happen to find your item then they give it to you. But there is also a second option where you will be given an extra piece of the item that you lost and require. If they have items that have been there longer than 90 days, there is a good chance they will just give you one.
- Entertainment –
Try finding some modes of entertainment in the airports if you have a long time to spend here. Try getting out of the airport and explore the surroundings if the time that you have is enough to do so. If not, you can always hangout in the coffee shops or try window shopping in the stores present inside the airport. Visit the kid’s section, as in their playrooms and sit there for a while. Their deeds and playtimes will surely entertain you. Try hunting for some photogenic places from where you can click some pictures. Make sure to be careful while doing this as not every place allows a camera. If you are still not happy with all of these, then we have two options for you. The first one is to stick to your electronic gadgets and books. The second one? Well, you can sleep off for a while.
So these are minor details that you can surely take care of and try managing on your own. You should probably try following these the next time you book some cheap flights or whatever.
