Tourism in India is attaining new heights each day and now the intention is to initiate water tourism in the country. The government of India is planning to launch a boat ride to Taj Mahal from Delhi, by creating a water route on the Yamuna River, Delhi-Agra-Prayagraj route. For the sketched project, an investment of INR 12,000 crore has been estimated.

The decided route will let you travel from Delhi to Agra and Agra to Prayagraj.
Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Water Resources and River Development confirmed that the project has already been started and the final plan will be submitted to World Back soon. The river cleaning process is already initiated. If we want to have the benefit of water tourism in India, cleaning all the rivers is a major goal to achieve.
The Union Minister also said that the motive of his Ministry is to render travelers and tourists a new way to reach the iconic Taj Mahal. As soon as the Yamuna River and other adjoining rivers are cleaned, water tourist will bring great wonders to travel. The Indian ministry has already announced about launching aero boats, boats that can run in water as well as in the air. This will not just improve water tourism in the country but also improve goods transportation via water.
