Direct Flights Between Dubai & Bhubaneswar: NROs To Thank CM

Good news for NROs living in the UAE. On Monday, May 15, 2023, the Chief Minister flagged off the first direct flight from Bhubaneswar to Dubai. The passengers were all set to fly between Biju Patnaik International Airport and Dubai International Airport. A total of 174 passengers boarded the flight on Monday and reached their destination at 4 PM. The first lot of passengers were given ‘Uttariya’, some sweets and flowers before their take off.

Indigo Airline is all set to provide this flight facility to flyers. The flight will be operated thrice a week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Dubai to Bhubaneswar direct flight schedule is very simple. The flight will fly from Dubai at 11:45 AM and reach Bhubaneswar at 5:20 PM. As far as the return flight is concerned, the flight will take off from the Bhubaneswar Airport at 6:30 PM and will land at the Dubai Airport at 9:45 PM. The total duration to reach Odisha Capital is 5 hours and the return flight will take 3 hours and 15 minutes. This step taken by the Odisha government and Indigo Airline will make the life of Non-Resident Odias (NROs) very easy. 

All the passengers met Odisha CM Mr. Naveen Patnaik and thanked him for this great initiative of kick-starting direct flights between Dubai and Bhubaneswar. All the passengers were very happy and they flew from Dubai to Bhubaneswar within 4 and a half hours. This flight is not only time-saving but also economical and convenient. For this initiative, flyers presented a ‘Khanjar’, a traditional dagger as a gesture.

This step will not help NROs but also support all the passengers traveling between India and the US. Many flights to USA from India have layovers in Dubai. Dubai is one of the most popular halts for all the flyers traveling between India and the USA. Now, it will be even easier for those passengers to reach the USA conveniently as they can travel to the Dubai airport via this flight and then move to the connecting flight.
