The successful completion of road restoration made way for the reopening of Lachung. The alternative route, albeit adding 16-17 km to the journey, ensures a scenic path via Dzongu-Shipgyer, offering a unique travel experience for all visitors.

While Lachung in Sikkim reopens its doors, the nearby Lachen-Gurudongmar point remains closed for the time being.
