The newest airline, Shankh Air, is set to launch in India to enhance air travel connectivity. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has given its approval to the airline. Still, it must secure the final clearance from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) before it officially starts operations. With its upcoming fleet of modern aircraft, Shankh Airlines plans to make travel easier for travelers across the country.

The airline plans to launch its services with a modern fleet of Boeing 737-800NG aircraft. It will be the first scheduled airline in Uttar Pradesh. Its main hubs of operations will be located at Lucknow and Noida, thus facilitating flight options to connect several cities in India.

New Airline Launch in India

Shankh Air aims to operate flights across different states, especially to places that currently have few direct flights available. The airline is expected to improve travel, particularly in areas with limited air transportation options.

According to information from CAPA India, in 2024, about 376 million travelers flew to India, positioning it as the third-largest domestic aviation market globally. Anticipated growth in the current fiscal year predicts a rise of 6-8% in the country’s domestic aviation traffic, with passenger numbers expected to reach 161 to 164 million.

The launch of Shankh Air will enhance air travel connections in India by providing more flights. If you are considering traveling from the USA to India, be sure to look into the Indian Eagle deals. So you enhance your travel experience with added affordability and comfort.
