Sikkim Tourism Department to Host International Youth Conclave 2025

From April 12 to April 14 of 2025, Sikkim will be hosting the International Youth Conclave for Tourism Development in Yangang, located in the Namchi district. This event is organized by the Sikkim Tourism Department which has been organized to celebrate 50 years of Sikkim becoming a state.

This year’s event will be set to host a total of 176 delegates from within India and international delegates. The attendees will get the opportunity to share their ideas regarding the practice of sustainable tourism and its further development. This year’s goal is to further develop tourism in the state, and address existing challenges and explore future opportunities.

Yangang is famed for its picturesque views and is emerging as a prime location for sustainable tourism and active culture. Sikkim tourism department has focused on promoting such initiatives as part of the Scheme of Sikkim for Self Reliant and Prosperous Sikkim. 

Delegates will engage in local sightseeing while exploring strategies for implementing sustainable tourism, alongside culturally interactive dances, pride marches, panel talk debates, and other activities with tourism industry professionals. This conclave underscores Sikkim’s commitment to sustainable tourism and cultural preservation, reinforcing its position as a leading destination in the region.The Sikkim Tourism Department continues to play a pivotal role in these endeavors, ensuring the state’s rich heritage and natural beauty are showcased globally.
