Etihad Airways Unveils First Airbus A321LR with Game-Changing Cabin Design

Etihad Airways unveils delivery of its first Airbus A321LR. The narrow‑body jet brings widebody comfort and launches a new luxury for Etihad Airways’ airbus operations. It is the first of 30 Etihad Airbus A321LR jets planned for delivery over coming years.

Etihad Airbus A321LR First Business Class

This Etihad Airbus A321LR First Business Class  delivers First Suites, a feature previously found only on wide‑body aircraft on a single‑aisle Airbus A321LR. There are two fully enclosed First Suites, each with sliding doors, flat beds, 20‑inch 4K screens, wireless charging. And there is even space for a companion guest or infant bassinet. 

The Business Class cabin includes 14 lie‑flat pods arranged in a 1‑1 layout, with 17.3‑inch 4K screens, Bluetooth audio, wireless charging, and generous personal space. It is the first time Etihad introduces lie‑flat business seats on a narrow‑body model earning strong praise as the Etihad Airbus A321LR First Business Class .

Airbus A321LR Seat Upgrades

The economy section seats 144 passengers, each with 18.4‑inch width and personal 13.3‑inch 4K touchscreens. All cabins offer high‑speed Wi‑Fi and USB‑A/C power features rarely found on older narrow‑body jets.

Etihad will begin commercial operations with its new Airbus A321LR on August 1, 2025, starting with the inaugural flight from Abu Dhabi to Phuket. Etihad plans to deploy this aircraft on destinations like Kolkata, Bangkok, Milan, Chiang Mai, Tunis, Zurich, and more.
