Check Out the Kidspace Children’s Museum

It is located at the former Fannie E. Morrison Horticultural Center, next to the Rose Bowl, Kidspace Children’s Museum is a popular tourist attraction. It has given children from the neighborhood a place for creative and interactive learning. The Splash Dance water feature in the middle courtyard is an ideal way to cool off on a scorching summer afternoon. There is a wide variety of displays and many other fun summer activities for kids, so your little ones can enjoy every moment spent here.

Location: 480 N Arroyo Boulevard, W Holly Street, Pasadena, 91103.

Fees: $13 for kids over 1 year and free entry for infants.

Timings: Tue to Fri- 09:30 AM to 05:00 PM, Sat & Sun- 10 AM to 5 PM. It remains open on Mondays during the spring and summer seasons.

Explore the Autry National Center

This museum explores the history of the American West, which is hidden away in the northeastern part of Griffith Park. It gives a considerably more interesting examination of the West, defining its history and addressing the stereotypes that have grown up around it. With the museum’s collection of more than 500,000 items, you may learn about Native Americans through their artwork and history. Brushing up on your cowboy skills can be one of the most fun summer activities for kids. You can also visit the Cross Roads West Cafe and research library. Since this museum also serves as a location for film screenings, talks, concerts, and other events, keep an eye on their calendar.

Location: 4700 Western Heritage Way, Los Angeles, 90027.

Fees: Free entry for kids under 3 years, $4 for kids between 3-12 years, $10 for adults, students and seniors are charged $6.

Timings: Tue to Fri- 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM, Sat & Sun- 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM.

Take A Tour of Underwood Family Farms

Kids can interact with a variety of animals, such as donkeys, sheep, chickens, ducks, birds, rabbits, cows, pigs, horses, emus, and alpacas, and even watch goats fly overhead on a specially designed “mountain” of balancing beams. A bounce house, an electric train, a local zoo, and miniature electric tractors are among the many attractions here. Children who are under four feet and/or 75 pounds can also ride ponies. A small playground with bikes and climbing gear is also available there, in addition to other climbing and slide structures throughout the property. What’s best? You can take children behind you in a cart while you pick your own seasonal food. Or just purchase a few items at the nearby farmer’s market. This is one of the fun summer activities for kids, isn’t it?

Location: 3370 Sunset Valley Rd, Moorpark, 93021.

Fees: $7 on weekdays and $10 on weekends.

Timings: Mon to Sun- 09:00 AM to 06:00 PM.

Enjoy Strawberry Picking

People often picture themselves biting into a large, delicious strawberry during the summer. If you love this sweet and sour fruit, you can check out strawberry fields and pick some ripe ones for yourselves. Fortunately, there are many farms in LA where you can go and enjoy picking strawberries.

Location: Cannon Rd & Paseo Del Norte, Carlsbad.

Fees: No entry fee.

Timings: Mon to Sun- 09:00 AM onwards.

Visit the Famous Los Angeles Zoo

The Los Angeles Zoo’s best feature is its position in Griffith Park’s distant hills. The 80 acres of the zoo and its large parking lot prevent it from being crowded despite being a popular tourist attraction. If you plan to come, it’s important to keep in mind that not all of the larger animals will be visible since they may seek shade on hot summer days to escape the intense heat. Despite the fact that wildlife is a big attraction, don’t overlook the flora. Although there isn’t a dedicated botanical garden here, you will still find over 800 different plant species, ranging from native plants to extinct cycads, labeled and arranged throughout the zoo’s habitats with a continental theme.

Location: 5333 Zoo Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90027, United States.

Fees: $17 for kids under 12 years and $19-$22 for adults.

*Entry is free for infants.

Timings: Mon to Sun- 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM.
