Akasa Air International Operations Begins With its Inaugural Flight to Doha

Akasa Air starts international operations, flying from Mumbai to Qatar’s capital, Doha. At 1754 hours IST, the inaugural flight left Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport for Doha, arriving safely at Hamad International Airport. The achievement represents a significant step in improving trade and tourism connections between India and Qatar, as well as increasing connectivity between the two countries.

In recognition of this Akasa Air international operations, the first passenger was given a special boarding pass, followed by an exciting ribbon-cutting ceremony led by an all-female crew. In addition, the airline has secured traffic rights to three other international destinations. It includes Riyadh, Kuwait, and Jeddah, indicating that it plans to increase its international presence in future months.

Tourists can also find connecting flights to Doha from Indian destinations, including Delhi, Kochi, Lucknow, Goa, Varanasi, and Ahmedabad via Mumbai.
