Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) introduces a new policy to improve passenger experience by changing to a silent zone. This new approach aims to redefine travel by prioritizing calmness in the busy hub.

The Mangaluru International Airport new silent zone will most likely reduce the need for public announcements, allowing passengers to relax in a more peaceful setting. MIA has implemented this method, to reduce noise pollution and allow passengers to focus on other activities such as reading, communicating with loved ones, or attending to job requirements.

How will Mangaluru Airport inform passengers about flight updates now?

Previously, MIA used a public address (PA) system to inform travelers about flight updates. Now the airport will use the Flight Information Display System (FIDS), to provide real-time updates.

FIDS screens have been set up across the airport, both inside and outside the terminal. These screens provide real-time information on domestic and international flight arrivals, departures, gate changes, and delays, allowing passengers to stay informed. In addition to FIDS, big display boards have also been placed in both departure and arrival zones.

Chennai Airport is another silent airport in southern India and if you have been on an Indian Eagle cheap flight to this city, you might be aware of how well the flight details are displayed using the Flight Information Display System, even on busy days.

Enhancing Customer Service at Mangaluru Airport

Despite the implementation of Mangaluru International Airport new silent zone policy, human interaction remains a top priority. MIA has improved its customer service with ‘May I Help You’ desks, where qualified workers may help passengers with any questions. Guest relations executives and Pranaam staff members will help passengers travel through the new silent airport.

Airlines at MIA now communicate directly with passengers through SMS and email notifications, informing them of any changes regarding their flights. This initiative is supported by a strong partnership between the airport and its airline partners, who are committed to enhancing passenger experience through this new silent policy. While regular announcements are limited, emergency situations are an exception. In such cases, the PA system will be used to ensure passenger safety and security.

Mangaluru International Airport new silent zone policy will likely improve passenger experience. This will not only enhance the airport experience but also ensure passengers have a stress-free domestic and international flight. Passengers can now have a more relaxing journey with less noise and distractions, avoiding the normal chaos of continual announcements.

So, why wait? Get ready to enjoy the quiet atmosphere of Mangaluru International Airport. It will provide a more pleasant and serene travel experience, setting a new standard for airports worldwide.
