With the increase in passenger demand, Singapore Airlines has announced that it will be increasing the frequency of flights to India. More flights will be added on its busiest routes to further enhance the connectivity between the two countries. Additional Singapore Airlines to India flights is designed to enhance the airline’s footprint in one of the most rapidly growing aviation markets globally.

Singapore Airlines to India Increased Flight Frequencies

Beginning in January 2025, Singapore Airlines will introduce four additional weekly flights to both Delhi and Mumbai. Presently, these routes are serviced by two daily flights, and this expansion will increase the Delhi route to a total of 18-19 flights per week and the Mumbai route to 19-20 flights per week.

The airline plans to utilize its state-of-the-art Singapore Airlines fleet, which comprises the Boeing 777-300ER, Boeing 787, and Airbus A350-900, to provide a comfortable and efficient travel experience for its passengers.

India is a Strategic Market

India is integral to Singapore Airlines’ international expansion strategy. The nation, characterized by a middle class and increased travel ambitions, has emerged as one of the most vibrant aviation markets. By enhancing its footprint in India, Singapore Airlines strategically positions itself to capitalize on the extensive opportunities arising from this escalating demand.

Singapore Airlines seeks to connect Indian travelers with various international destinations, positioning Singapore as a vital transit hub. Already thousands of passengers use Indian Eagle deals and book flights between USA and India with a stop at Singapore. As a transit hub, Singapore Changi Airport offers travelers world-class services and a seamless experience.

Expanded Codeshare with Air India

Singapore Airlines has recently enhanced its codeshare agreement with Air India. This collaboration, which will take effect on October 27, 2024, will incorporate 51 additional destinations into their network.

Singapore Airlines passengers will benefit from connectivity to Air India’s domestic centers in Mumbai and Delhi. This will facilitate access to cities such as Bengaluru, Goa, and Amritsar. Conversely, Air India passengers will have the opportunity to tap into SIA’s broad international network. It encompasses destinations across Southeast Asia, Australia, and Europe. To further enhance Singapore Airlines to India connectivity, the airline may reportedly also start direct flights from Noida International Airport to Singapore.

Singapore Airlines, through its broadened range of services, reinforces its commitment to linking India with global destinations. This expansion offers travelers increased choices, greater convenience, and the assurance of a superior travel experience.
