Rajasthan’s First Heritage Train Now Operational and Will Be a Delight for Rail Enthusiasts

Rajasthan is renowned for offering tourists a unique cultural experience. The vibrant state not only boasts stunning palaces and heritage sites but also offers mouth-watering cuisine. To further boost Rajasthan tourism, the Valley Queen Heritage Train has been introduced. This will be Rajasthan’s first heritage train and will operate from the busy Marwar Junction to Kamlighat. 

This new train was launched by the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on October 5 and is expected to delight tourists visiting the region. Although dubbed as Rajasthan’s first heritage train, it is one of the six such trains that offer passengers awe-inspiring views of the scenic rail routes in India.

Valley Queen Heritage Train’s Vistadome Coach

The new train in Rajasthan also has a Vistadome AC coach that can seat 60 passengers. The coach shall offer people mesmerizing views along the way to the destination. Apart from this, Rajasthan’s first heritage train has a unique resemblance to a 150-year-old steam engine, which will be a visual treat for rail enthusiasts from around the world.

This train will likely pass through two tunnels and around 172 small and big bridges. Passengers will be left in awe as it passes through lush hills and valleys in the Goram Ghat and watch the unique flora and fauna on the route.

What You Must Know About Rajasthan’s First Heritage Train? 

The train is expected to operate four times weekly. The Valley Queen Heritage Train will leave from Marwar Junction at 08:30 AM and after a 2.5-hour journey, it will arrive in Kamlighat at 11:00 AM. During the return trip, it will depart from Kamlighat around 03:00 PM and reach Marwar Junction in 2 hours 40 minutes by 05:40 PM. The cost of a ticket for a journey on Rajasthan’s first heritage train is INR 2000/person.
