This museum explores the history of the American West, which is hidden away in the northeastern part of Griffith Park. With the museum’s collection of more than 500,000 items, you may learn about Native Americans through their artwork and history. Kids can interact with a variety of animals, such as donkeys, sheep, chickens, ducks, birds, rabbits, cows, pigs, horses, emus, and alpacas, and even watch goats fly overhead on a specially designed “mountain” of balancing beams. A bounce house, an electric train, a local zoo, and miniature electric tractors are among the many attractions here. Children who are under four feet and/or 75 pounds can also ride ponies. A small playground with bikes and climbing gear is also available there, in addition to other climbing and slide structures throughout the property. What’s best? You can take children behind you in a cart while you pick your own seasonal food. Or just purchase a few items at the nearby farmer’s market. Visit the Famous Los Angeles Zoo
