Air India has collaborated with renowned Indian designer Manish Malhotra for this revamp. The female cabin crew’s attire includes ombré sarees inspired by Indian heritage and the Vista logo. The ready-to-wear sarees come with optional pants and a “East meets West” vibe. The change of uniforms is a part of Air India rebranding, which began a few months back with the unveiling of a new logo and livery. The uniforms are expected to be recognized worldwide as a symbol of Indian heritage and hospitality.
Distinct Designs for New Air India Cabin Crew Uniforms
Senior cabin crew on Air India flights will flaunt ombré sarees in the hues of aubergine-to-burgundy along with aubergine blazers. This will signify authority and sophistication. The junior crew members will wear ombré sarees in vibrant red-to-purple hues. This will be paired along with red blazers for a more youthful yet traditional look. With quintessential Indian hues used in the new Air India cabin crew uniforms, the airline aims to leave a lasting impression on the passengers. Keeping things sophisticated and elegant, the cockpit crew’s uniform features a black double-breasted suit with a Vista-inspired print.
Comfortable Yet Stylish Accessories
Keeping in mind the roles and responsibilities of both the cockpit crew and the cabin crew, footwear was carefully chosen. This will not just elevate the style but also offer comfort. Females will wear dual-tone (black and burgundy) block heels that will complement their uniform. The male crew members will sport comfortable black Brogues. The ensemble is completed with pearl earrings and sling bags for female cabin crew.
