Two Taj Resorts in Lakshadweep Islands Likely to Come Up by 2026

In order to give Lakshadweep tourism a boost, Taj Hotels in India have planned to open two Taj resorts in the region. Lakshadweep Islands are situated 220 to 440 km off the shores of Kochi in Kerala, amidst the vibrant Arabian Sea. It has been in the news since the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi did a promotional campaign to attract more tourists to this picturesque part of the country. Taj Resorts in Lakshadweep Islands

Tata Group is planning to introduce two luxurious Taj-branded resorts in Lakshadweep, slated to welcome guests by 2026. This strategic move comes on the heels of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to the picturesque Lakshadweep.

Suheli and Kadmat have been chosen as the ideal locations for the new Taj resorts. These are two of the most popular tourist spots in Lakshadweep. The Suheli Taj resort is expected to feature 110 rooms, including 60 beachfront villas and 50 water villas. Meanwhile, Kadmat, also known as Cardamom Island, will boast a Taj Hotel with 110 rooms. This comprises 35 water villas and 75 beach villas. The two Greenfield Taj resorts in Lakshadweep aim to redefine hospitality in the tropical haven.

SpiceJet to Offer Flights to Lakshadweep Islands

One of the most popular airlines in India, SpiceJet, recently made an announcement that it will extend the operations of its domestic flights to Lakshadweep. This is another milestone for the Gurugram-headquartered carrier towards fulfilling its ambitious expansion plans.
