UNESCO World Heritage Forum 2024 for Young Professionals Taking Place in India

The UNESCO World Heritage Forum 2024 for Young Professionals, is scheduled to take place in India’s dynamic cultural environment. It is currently accepting applications. This esteemed event promises an inspiring 10 days in New Delhi. The Archaeological Survey of India is arranging this in association with the Ministry of Culture. This fully funded event is taking place from July 14 to July 23, 2024. It plans to develop the skills of young professionals in preserving the natural and cultural treasures of the world.

The forum emphasizes how crucial it is to conserve the world’s cultural legacy and how it fits into sustainable development. The event takes place at the Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Institute of Archaeology in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. It provides a unique chance for attendees to participate in engaging discussions and group learning.

Participants will explore how to effectively implement the World Heritage Convention in the current phase. It focuses on enhancing skills in heritage preservation and protection. The UNESCO World Heritage Forum will give young professionals the skills and information necessary to impact their communities, from sustainable development to heritage management techniques.

UNESCO International Forum Global Gathering

The UNESCO International Forum will select 50 participants, with 30 slots for young professionals worldwide and another 20 from India. By offering a fair representation of both local and global viewpoints, this inclusive strategy promotes intercultural communication and cooperation.

The country that hosts the event will pay for all associated costs. It includes airfare, local transportation, lodging, and meals, making it an affordable opportunity for eligible applicants. Candidates must be between the ages of 23 and 32.  They should have experience in a variety of sectors, including World Heritage, conservation, archaeology, architecture, tourism, and more. The application deadline for the UNESCO World Heritage Forum is April 30, 2024. Along with English language proficiency is required because the proceedings will only be held in English.
