Uttarakhand now provides helicopter services for Adi Kailash and Om Parvat, welcoming a new era of ease and accessibility for both devotees and explorers. This initiative shows the state’s commitment to making divinity more accessible and enhancing tourism in India.

With the start of helicopter services from Naini Saini Airport, the gates to Adi Kailash and Om Parvat are now fully open. This project, part of the Uttarakhand government’s Heli Darshan plan, includes a Mi-19 helicopter ready to transport pilgrims to these sacred peaks located in the Vyas valley. This is a huge step in Hindu pilgrimage tourism, addressing the geographical and seasonal challenges that have stopped devotees.

The inaugural flight, which carried more than 10 pilgrims, shows a beginning in the pursuit of religious fulfillment. Adi Kailash, Lord Shiva and Parvati’s second residence, and Om Parvat, a natural witness to the sacred phrase ‘Om’, are now more accessible than ever before. This service is a boon for tourists who want to witness these wonders without the long journey that was previously required.

This helicopter service provides not only incredible journeys over majestic landscapes but also an enjoyable experience in place of the hard hikes of the past. Think about changing the challenging 11-kilometer climb to Nabhidang, the closest viewpoint to Om Parvat, with a relaxing helicopter that provides exceptional views of these spiritual structures.

This initiative is more than just organizing a spiritual journey. It is about supporting community development, promoting the region, and enhancing the local economy. All-terrain vehicles (ATVs) are planned to replace challenging treks from Jyolingkong and Nabhidang, providing a smooth journey over the snowy landscape.

Starting April 15th, devotees can start on a one-day aerial darshan along with a five-day helicopter yatra, which will change the pilgrimage experience with stunning views and ultimate comfort. This new service, which is scheduled from April 15th to May 1st, 2024, and resumes in November until March, ensures that the travel to these sacred spots will be a wonderful vacation.

For those searching for the ultimate spiritual journey, Uttarakhand’s launch of helicopter services for Adi Kailash and Om Parvat is a welcome move. It’s an invitation for all devotees and adventurers to experience India’s amazing natural beauty.
