Goan Beaches:

The smallest Indian state’s 103-km-long coastline is dotted with spectacular beaches featuring turquoise waters, glittering sands, and palm-fringed shores. Needless to say, Goa is a paradise for every sun, sea, and sand lover. From laid-back activities like sunbathing, strolling on the soft sands, and sunset watching to adrenaline-pumping water sports to rave beach parties and electric nightlife, Goan beaches are an assortment of experiences. While North Goa boasts most of the famous beaches like Anjuna, Baga, Calangute, Candolim, Vagator, Arambol, Morjim, Sinquerim, etc., South Goa is home to less-crowded, tranquil beaches such as Palolem, Colva, Agonda, and Benaulim among others.

Ancient Forts:

Not all forts in Goa are huge, some of them even lay in ruins, but they never cease to amaze tourists. Some of the most famous forts are Aguada, Chapora, Corjuem, Cabo de Rama, Sinquerim, and Reis Magos. Narrating the tales of yesteryears, the beautiful forts of Goa take you back in time. With a scenic setting near the coastline, these ancient forts are also known to offer breathtaking views of the coast and beyond. And thus, they make for the best places to visit in Goa for nature lovers and history buffs alike.

Anjuna Flea Market:

Open only on Wednesdays, this eclectic flea market is a favorite among hippies and backpackers hanging out in Goa. This is a one-stop shopping place featuring clothes, jewelry, bags, footwear, accessories, electronics, handicrafts, knick-knacks, souvenirs, and what have you. The merchandise comes from all across India, and it seems like the great diversity of the country gathered at Anjuna flea market. The live music performances add to the zesty ambiance, and the food stalls sprinkled here and there tempt you with their delicious Goan fare.

Dudhsagar Falls:

One of the tallest waterfalls in India, Dudhsagar falls is among the best places to visit in Goa. The four-tiered waterfall rushes down the mountain face covered in lush greenery, and the gushing water as white as milk makes you momentarily believe that it is milk flowing all the way from a height of 310 m. It is, indeed, a spectacular sight to behold! The falls are located on the Goa-Karnataka border within Mollem National Park. Monsoon is the ideal time to see Dudhsagar in full glory. You can either trek through the park or drive a jeep to the falls. The train journey is another epic way to experience Dudhsagar waterfalls.

Sri Mahadeva Temple:

This 12th-century temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is said to be the oldest temple in the state. Situated at Tambdi Surla near Mollem, Sri Mahadeva temple is a must-see offbeat place in Goa. It is a beautifully carved temple built with basalt rocks brought over from the Deccan plateau. The temple is also considered the only surviving basalt temple representing the Kadamba-Yadava style of architecture in Goa. Finely carved sculptures adorn the temple’s pillars, walls, and ceiling, and the Shivlinga rests on a pedestal in its sanctum sanctorum. Legend has it that a huge king cobra is settled in this dimly-lit inner sanctum.

Tito’s:

A hub for party animals, Tito’s reveals to you why Goa is dubbed the Party Capital of India. The iconic nightclub located near Baga beach is reputed to be one of the best nightlife places to visit in Goa. The impeccable combination of good music, food and drinks plus its top-notch services hit the right chord with party lovers who throng this nightclub to dance the night away.
