Excellent news for AirAsia passengers! With in-flight Wi-Fi access to multiple features, you can now make your flights even more exciting. AirAsia India recently announced a collaboration with Hyperlocal Cloud platform Sugarbox to launch ‘AirFlix,’ a unique in-flight experience hub. ‘AirFlix,’ a creative solution for digital access in the skies, is now available on every AirAsia Aircraft.

The service will allow passengers on AirAsia India flights to access over 1,000 short movies, international and Indian movies, buffer-free content, and web series episodes from OTT apps via the in-flight system. It will be free of charge for all passengers to access via in-flight WiFi.

AirFlix which is powered by Sugarbox’s patented Cloud Fragment technology provides fliers with digital access that simulates the internet experience even when there is no in-flight connectivity. It is integrated with and works together with AirAsia India’s in-flight ancillary platform, letting people browse the menu and place orders using their mobile devices. AirFlix shows a variety of customized options, including E-commerce, News articles, Games, Music, Ed-tech content,  and much more, with a speed of up to 1Gbps and a storage capacity of 8TB. Visitors can access ‘AirFlix’ via their smartphones, tablet PCs, or laptops.

AirAsia is excited to capitalize on the platform’s possibility by presenting inventive features and specialized integrations that will provide a different flying experience in a highly competitive market. Using Sugarbox’s patented Cloud Fragment technology, this is an outstanding global initiative to bring the power of the Cloud to aircraft.
