Noida International Airport to Conduct First Flight Test Today

India is making significant strides in the aviation sector. Noida International Airport will play a key role in further enhancing connectivity and achieving new milestones. The new airport, located in Jewar, Uttar Pradesh, is likely to begin commercial operations on April 17, 2025. Its first flight test to evaluate safety and operational standards will be conducted today, i.e. 9th December 2024. 

A test flight from Indira Gandhi International Airport is expected to reach the Jewar Airport at approximately 12 PM. This flight validation test will involve a non-commercial aircraft. Among many things, the Noida Airport flight test will also assess the runway performance, operational readiness and communication systems

Preparations for the First Flight Test at Jewar Airport

The airport is going through a rigorous inspection and testing process. To make sure every device works properly, engineers and aviation experts are putting in endless effort. A thorough evaluation of the air traffic control systems, taxiways, and runway is also underway. For the first flight validation test, these preparations are essential.

The success of the first flight test at the Noida International Airport will further help in securing approvals to begin commercial operations. This infrastructure project symbolizes progress and innovation in the Indian aviation industry.
