As Lord Shri Ram’s temple in Ayodhya keeps attracting pilgrims from around the world, the nearby Gonda district gets ready to welcome tourists to two new nature spots. The Tikri Forest and Parvati Arga Bird Sanctuary are likely to develop into major tourist hubs, giving religious travelers and nature enthusiasts more attractions to explore.

New Tourist Hotspots Near Ayodhya

Gonda’s main attraction is the Parvati Arga Bird Sanctuary. It’s part of the Ramsar project and home for migrating birds in winter. Tourists can spot many different birds, including those that fly in from places like Siberia, Tibet, China, and Europe.

Tikri Forest is situated just a stone’s throw from the Parvati Arga Bird Sanctuary. This place is home to a wide variety of plants and animals, as well as trees such as Sal and Teak. Tourists visiting Tikri Forest have the chance to wander through lush greenery and enjoy nature. The area is set to become a peaceful eco-friendly retreat making it an ideal spot for travelers looking to escape the hustle and bustle.

Gonda’s Rich Cultural and Spiritual Sites

Gonda district boasts more than just scenic landscapes. It has roots in history and spirituality. You’ll find Chapia village here where Bhagwan Ghanshyam was born. This place attracts lots of tourists every year, many from Gujarat. With new changes, it hopes to bring even more travelers.

Kondar, another key spot in the district, is where Maharishi Patanjali came into the world. He’s a big name in yoga and Sanskrit writing. A huge temple for him is under construction on the Gonda-Ayodhya highway. Here, you’ll witness an amazing statue of the Maharishi. It’s six and a half feet long, weighs two tons, and is made of red granite. An upcoming new two-lane road here can help tourists to reach the site easily.
