Uttar Pradesh Travel: State to Get 9 New 5-Star Hotels at Heritage Sites

Uttar Pradesh is one of the most populous states in India, and it also boasts rich heritage and culture. The state is home to many historical monuments and temples, as well as natural wonders such as the Taj Mahal and the Himalayas. In a bid to boost Uttar Pradesh travel and provide employment opportunities, the state government is converting nine heritage sites into 5-star hotels. These heritage hotels will be built in palaces and forts across the state, and they will showcase the rich heritage of Uttar Pradesh.

The nine heritage sites that will be converted into hotels which will soon be considered as top places to visit in Uttar Pradesh include: Chattar Manzil in Lucknow, Barua Sagar Fort in Jhansi, Chunar Fort in Mirzapur, Kothi Darshan Vilas in Lucknow, Kothi Gulistan-e-Iram in Lucknow, Kothi Roshan in Lucknow, Barsana Water Palace in Mathura, Shukla Talab in Kanpur, and Tikait Rai Baradari in Bithoor. The government has established three categories for this with a suggested minimum investment of INR 180 crore.

Ancient Architecture to Be Preserved 

The hotels will be built in a way that preserves the original architecture of the heritage sites. They will also feature modern amenities and facilities to attract tourists from all over the world. This will likely make Uttar Pradesh travel more popular among history enthusiasts or those who love staying at palace hotels. 

In addition to the nine heritage hotels, the Uttar Pradesh government is also planning to develop other tourism infrastructure in the state. This includes building new roads and highways, improving air and rail connectivity, and developing tourist destinations.

The development of UP tourism will create new employment opportunities and boost the state’s economy. It will also help to preserve the rich heritage and culture of the state.
