Situated along the banks of the Sabarmati River, Ahmedabad, a city in Gujarat, is culturally significant due to the many temples and monuments it houses. Hutheesing Jain Temple 

Commissioned by Seth Hathisingh in the 18th century, the Hutheesing Temple is one of the most beautiful representations of Jainism. It was constructed entirely with white marble, which is said to be auspicious to the Jains. There are 25 sub-shrines, each dedicated to each of the many Tirthankaras. Tirthankaras are enlightened followers of Jainism who surpassed all their rebirths and made a trail for others to follow. 

The Hutheesing Jain Temple is located about 15 minutes from Ahmedabad airport. It is one of the best temples to visit in Ahmedabad. 

Vaishno Devi Temple 

The Vaishno Devi Temple, located on the Gandhinagar Highway, is a replica of the famous Jammu temple, featuring the deity, Vaishno Mata (reincarnation of another deity, Durga). If you have visited the temple in Jammu, you will find a lot of similarities between the two. The one in Gujarat is placed on a man-made hill. During the Navratri Festival, this temple is a must-visit if you are in the city.  

This is one of the famous places near Ahmedabad. A lot of pilgrims visit here to pay their respects to the deity.

Shree Jagannath Temple 

The Shree Jagannath Temple, located at Jamalpur Darwaza, features the deity trio—Jagannath, his sister Subhadra, and his brother Balabhadra. In the year 1878, the Rath yatra started here. Ever since then, it has been celebrated every year. 

It is one of the best temples to visit in Ahmedabad. 

Devendrashwar Mahadev Temple 

The Devendrashwar Mahadev Temple is said to be the most religious site in Ahmedabad. It is located in Memanagar. This temple is dedicated to the deities, Durga and Mahadev. It is rather big and spacious inside, so even with a lot of people, seeking blessings from the deity and attending the aarti isn’t a problem. 

Modhera Sun Temple 

Located close to the Becharaji Highway of Modhera, the Modhera Sun Temple is dedicated to the sun deity. It is said to have been built in the 11th century, making it one of the oldest temples in the city. It is one of the most famous temples in Ahmedabad. The style of architecture is of the Chalukya dynasty, which is known to be very modern. Hence, it appears to be very unique. The ideal times to visit this temple is between October and December.
