For all those who wondered what dining in an aircraft would be like as well as for those who enjoyed this experience while onboard domestic/ international flights, here’s a piece of good news. The recently-launched airplane-themed restaurant in Gujarat, called HighFly Aircraft Restaurant, is offering a dining experience similar to that of the one in an aircraft.
This aircraft-themed restaurant opened its doors to the public on October 25, inviting them to gorge on delicious food while being treated like a passenger on a plane.
As you enter the HighFly Aircraft Restaurant through aerobridge, the restaurant staff welcomes you just like the way air hostesses do. Waiters and servers are also dressed like flight attendants. Moreover, airplane vibrations and regular announcements make you feel like you are inside a real aircraft. Thrilling, isn’t it?
Created out of scrapped aircraft, this airplane-themed restaurant can seat more than 100 people and boasts a vast menu that features Italian, Continental, Mexican, Chinese, and Thai cuisines besides traditional Indian dishes. And the best part is that you can enjoy great views from the window while relishing your favorite food.
Where is this HighFly Aircraft Restaurant located in Gujarat, you ask? It’s on the Tarsal Bypass near Vadodara, at a distance of around 15 km from Vadodara Airport.
Gujarat’s first aircraft-themed restaurant, HighFly Aircraft Restaurant is the fourth of its kind in India and the ninth in the world. The other three aircraft-themed restaurants in India are situated at Ludhiana in Punjab, Mori in Haryana, and Dehradun in Uttarakhand. Mehmood Mukhi, the owner of HighFly Aircraft Restaurant, was quoted saying, “An Airbus 320 was bought from a company in Bengaluru to build this restaurant. Each part of the aircraft was brought to Vadodara and it was remodelled as a restaurant.”
