India’s IndiGo parent company, InterGlobe Enterprises, is partnering with US-based Archer Aviation to significantly transform the country’s transportation system. They are planning to launch electric air taxis by 2026. This upcoming transportation will provide an easier and quicker way to travel.Â
Archer Aviation introduces their electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, with Stellantis, Boeing, and United Airlines. These ‘Midnight’ e-aircraft, which can go up to 100 miles in just 7 mins while carrying 4 people and a pilot, offer a quick and more sustainable solution.Â
Electric Air Taxi Service
Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru are scheduled for the first electric air taxis, which will launch with 200 aircraft. As the 60-to-90-minute vehicle ride becomes an amazing 7-minute air taxi ride, passengers can enjoy a more seamless and time-saving experience.
This project, which aims to change travel, is perfectly suited to handle cargo, emergency, medical, and charter services along with passenger travel. InterGlobe Enterprises plans to use e-aircraft in many sectors, maintaining a smooth and effective network.
