Not taking advantage of the walkability

Not being prepared for walking is one of the biggest mistakes tourists make while visiting Philadelphia. It is one of the mistakes you should never do in Philadelphia. It is a city that needs to be walked, it is very walkable. Also, consider buying and wearing shoes suitable to the comfort levels of walking.

Waiting in line to see any monument

It is true that the LOVE Statue, Rocky Statue, and Liberty Bell are all free to
view, but that does not mean you have to particularly wait in line to see
them. Since they are monuments, you can see them anytime. So,
concentrate on watching or eating something else that is fleeting. It is one
of the mistakes you should never do in Philadelphia.

Running up the Philadelphia Museum of Art steps without going inside

Many tourists have the tendency to climb all 72 steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and then, walking away from it, back the way they came. You should go ahead and see the splendid exhibitions inside. There are several paintings and sculptures by very talented artists.

Only exploring in Historic Philadelphia and Center City

This is another of the mistakes to avoid when traveling to Philadelphia. You should also try visiting The Mütter and the Edgar Allan Poe National Historic Site.

Waiting too long to book your hotel

Remember to book your hotel rooms early, at least a month and a half in advance from the date of your arrival in Philadelphia. Avoid booking an Air bread and breakfast place.
