Aeromall, the multi-facility hub at Pune Airport, was inaugurated by Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on 25th November 2022. The 120-crore project offers a multi-level parking facility that can accommodate up to 1,000 vehicles across the two basement levels and terrace. This is expected to ease the parking woes at Pune Airport. Passengers can directly enter the airport terminal building from here via a skywalk.

The newly-constructed Aeromall also comes with retail outlets, working spaces, and a food court. Reportedly, all floors of the parking building will feature displays to let passengers know the arrival and departure times of flights as well as their status.

During the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Scindia also spoke about the new integrated terminal at Pune Airport. He said that about 75% of the construction work has been completed and most likely, it will be ready by May 2023.

It is being constructed by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) at a cost of 475 crores, as part of the airport expansion project. This new terminal will increase the passenger handling capacity of the airport to 16 million passengers per annum.

Pune International Airport has also recently upgraded the terminal’s network connectivity services to 5G. Passengers can now enjoy the super-fast Airtel 5G Plus network across the terminal.
