Shri Aurobindo Ghosh Ashram 

Being the residence of the famous Indian freedom fighter, Shri Aurobindo Ghosh, back in 1926, this ashram was built in his name after his death. The ashram is among the wealthiest ashrams in the country and is considered a prime destination for spiritual seekers and tourists.  

Timings: 8:00am to 12:00pm and 2:00pm to 6:00pm 

Auroville 

A universal town located 8 kilometers from the city of Pondicherry, also called ‘the City of Dawn’. In this town, men and women from any country, religion or caste can live together to realize human unity and promote harmony. It is a perfect place for experience and Nirvana seekers. Auroville is without a doubt the best attraction in Pondicherry for a unique experience.

Paradise Beach 

Of the many beaches in and around Pondicherry, Paradise Beach provides the best circumstances for water sports and adventure. Sri Gokilambal Thirukameswar Temple 

Also famous as Villianur Temple, Sri Gokilambal Thirukameswar Temple is a 15-meter temple chariot used in processions during the annual festival called Brahmotsavam. Spiritual seekers ensure the temple is on top of their list of places to visit in Pondicherry. The months of May and June is considered as the best time to visit the temple

Gingee Fort 

One of the best places to visit in Pondicherry is the Gingee Fort. No matter if you are here for a couple of days, do not miss exploring this national monument (declared so in 1921). The Gingee Fort has an exceptional architecture that allures the tourists coming from far-off lands and is among the few forts found in the state. Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus 

Also called Parent Church for Catholic diocese for Cuddalore and Pondicherry, the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a church built in the year 1907 on 17th December. Situated in South Boulevard, the structure is 50 meters long, 18 meters high, 48 meters wide and supported by 24 columns. It is one of the best winter holiday destinations in South India that you must visit.  

Timings: 7:00am to 6:30pm (Except Sunday) 

Jawahar Toy Museum 

Located in the main town, Jawahar Toy Museum is a doll house with the rarest type of dolls and toys. It is at the old lighthouse close to Gandhi Maidan sheltering almost 140 dolls from different states of India. You will be allured seeing the beautiful toys that remind you of your amazing childhood.  

Timings: 10:00am to 5:00pm (Except Monday) 

Le Club 

Le Club is a romantic and super famous garden restaurant in Pondicherry known for pizzas, steaks and crepes. Once you are done with shopping in Pondicherry, head on to relax and satiate your taste buds with the lip smacking food at this restaurant. Promenade Beach
