The Jaipur City Transport Service Limited (JCTSL) plans to introduce prepaid travel cards to provide its visitors with a convenient and cashless travel experience. Jaipur is one of the most popular places to visit in India and offers numerous tourist attractions such as palaces, forts, and other ancient monuments. And travel cards are likely to come in handy when exploring the ‘pink city.
Traveling is generally a relaxing experience, however handling cash and making payments can make it a hassle. In order to help tourists and provide them with a seamless travel experience, JCTSL plans to launch prepaid travel cards. These prepaid travel cards will be available soon and will help tourists avoid cash payments during bus rides across the city. So, instead of buying a ticket with cash, visitors can hand the card to the bus conductor, who will swipe the card at the available Point of Sale (POS) and generate a ticket to the desired destination.
JCTSL will likely launch an app by mid-December. So if you are planning a trip to the city around this time, you can get a travel card and recharge it using any UPI application. Initially, only a limited prepaid travel card will be available at select Yes Bank branches. Users/tourists can later recharge their cards based on their requirements.
Prepaid cards will soon be available at JCTSL headquarters and all its depots across the city. No matter if you are a local or a tourist, you can avail of this service for seamless travel. The new prepaid travel card will also be a safe and smart way to carry and spend money while traveling in Jaipur.
