In the last week of Oct 2022, Minicoy Thundi and Kadmat Beach in Lakshadweep received “Blue Flag” certification. Thundi is one of the most beautiful beaches in Lakshadweep. This coast is regarded as a swimming and tourist sanctuary. Kadmat Beach is also well-known among many people who visit the island for water sports. It is an excellent location for nature lovers.
Both Thundi and Kadmat have beach cleaning and maintenance staff. There are adequate safeguards in place to ensure swimmers’ safety and security. Both beaches meet all of the Foundation for Environmental Education’s standards (FEE) like education, access, environment, safety, etc.
